rankings, population, among other factors.
1- Population in
each of the two countries
The last classification about a year ago showed
that the population in Egypt reached 104 million, while Ethiopia has a
population of 108 million.
2- Arranging the
army globally
The Egyptian army ranks first in the world
rankings, ranking 12th at the level of Yosh's world in 2019, while the
Ethiopian army is ranked 47th.
3- The number of
individuals
As for the number of soldiers, there is a very
great advantage in favor of Egypt, where the number of soldiers in the Egyptian
army is 440 thousand, while its Ethiopian counterpart has only 140 thousand
members.
4- Financial
allocations
The budget of the army in Egypt is $ 4.4 billion,
while Ethiopia allocates to its army $ 340 million annually.
5- Reinforcement
Egypt has more than 2,160 tanks, 5,735 armored
vehicles, 1,000 self-propelled guns, and more than 2,189 field artillery, in
addition to 1,100 missile launchers.
The Ethiopian army has 800 tanks and the same
number of armored vehicles in addition to 85 self-propelled guns only.
When talking about naval power, Egyptian
superiority is still noticeably noticeable, as the Egyptian army owns 320
marine vessels, including two aircraft carriers, 7 corvettes, and 4 submarines,
in addition to 50 patrol ships and 9 frigates. Ethiopia is a closed country
with no coast.
With regard to the Air Force, there is also a
clear Egyptian superiority, as the Egyptian army possesses 1092 different
warplanes, including 211 fighters, 341 attack aircraft, 59 military cargo
aircraft, in addition to 388 training aircraft, and 293 military helicopters,
including 46 attack helicopters.
On the other hand, Ethiopia possesses only 82
warplanes, of which 26 are combatants and 16 attack aircraft, in addition to 9
military cargo aircraft and 33 military helicopters, including 8 attack
helicopters only.
